Description | Extreme intensities of rainfall within short time periods in the range of hours is a major source of flooding that will probably increase with climate change. However, most long time series of precipitation only provide daily data, making it hard to statistically estimate extreme precipitation in this scale. In this thesis, a new meta statistical model is explored that can be used to analyze even short time series for statistical purposes. |
