| Description | Many children and elderly are suffering from viral respiratory tract infections. The immune response to respiratory viruses is investigated. To protect or improve immunity against respiratory pathogens, vaccination studies, and nutritional intervention studies are performed. In these studies, we focus on phenotyping immune cells and measuring their cellular responses. Next to this, immunomodulation of innate immune function to protect against infection is investigated using bovine antibodies. |
