| Description | Did you know that immune cells use physical forces to recognize and kill their prey? We try to understand how they do so, and reveal why softer prey, like cancer cells, evade immune recognition. Join us in our research where we develop synthetic targets to interrogate immune functions, and leverage advanced fluorescent microscopy and flow cytometry to see immune cells in action. Our main focus is macrophage biology and phagocytosis, but we are also excited about exploring how other immune cells use forces to kill! |
| Used skills | Hydrogel synthesis and functionalization, advanced fluorescent microscopy, cell culturing, flow cytometry, biophysical methods (cellular force measurements) |
