Description | Do you like lab work and want to get experience with fluorescence microscopy? Are you interested in animal evo-devo?
In this project you will visualise the embryonic development of an Odonatan species, Ischnura elegans (common Dutch name: lantaarntje). The eggs of I. elegans have been sampled throughout their development as part of a larger evolutionary development study at the Biosystematics group. There are also opportunities for rearing and imaging the development of other insects selected for this research. |
Used skills | Fluorescence microscopy, DAPI staining |
Requirements | Lab skills, precision work |
