Description Killifish and guppies are often competitors when it comes to food. They may also eat the young of the other. But when confronted with a novel situation they may also rely on each others behaviour as a cue of safety. In this project we want to know if there is evidence of guppies using the behaviour of killifish as a cue to start eating from a novel food resource. We have collected videos over several years and experiments of which the foraging behaviour of the guppies is already quantified, so you can focus on the killifish. This project may include the opportunity to join for fieldwork in Trinidad in April 2023.
