Description
Eutrophication is a major water quality issue that often leads to harmful cyanobacteria blooms. These blooms are further aggravated by climate change. To counteract eutrophication nuisance, water managers are using more and more so-called solid-phase P-adsorbents. However, if and how the efficacy of P binders is affected under periods of heatwaves is less clear. You will apply the P binders Phoslock and Aqual-P to cylinders that contain sediment, to test the efficacy in P control under normal temperatures and during a simulated heatwave event.
