Spruce is heavily affected by drought and bark beetle in europe. How to restore these forests is only in its beginning. Various techniques can be studied whereby several aspects can be part of the study.e.g. provenance research, success of trials, soil carbon, biodiversity, etc

Field work may be part of the thesis.
