Description | The climate is changing and consequently, the Netherlands has been dealing with droughts and water shortages more frequently. The agricultural sector and water boards are especially being limited by the lack of accurate information of soil moisture in the unsaturated zone of soils. Various products have been developed but have not always met the demands of the users. Therefore, there is need to develop more accurate and refined maps of the soil moisture in the unsaturated zone.
In this project, you will investigate if using piezometers is useful for improving soil moisture mapping in space and time. |
