Description | Remote and proximal sensing data are frequently used for predicting and mapping soil properties. Typically, the spectral bands are being used individually as predictors in statistical models to predict soil properties. However, the spectral signature that we obtain could be considered a property of the soil itself. If this is true than it would open up possibilities for monitoring soils using sensing techniques. In this research you will investigate whether this novel hypothesis is indeed valid and find methods to use this new soil property for soil monitoring across scales (lab, field, airborne, spaceborne sensors) |
