| Description | How can we conceive of tourism in the context of the socio-political upheavals climate change will bring? How can tourism’s consumptive practices and mobilities be transformed in order to mitigate human induced climate change? How do tourists contribute and how can tourism be changed as to provide for alternative ways of being and doing through our current state of planetary emergency? The are key questions that can be addressed with a range of empirical insights from settings ranging from whale watching in the Arctic to mountaineering in the tropics. From the urban to the rural and from the local to the global. |
