Description | Problem context
Honeybush grows wild in the mountains of the Langkloof and is harvested to make tea. With increasing market demand for honeybush tea, cultivation of honeybush can potentially take pressure off of wild tea and minimise over harvesting. Research Objective/Question Work under this topic will build on research conducted in 2019, looking at the optimal soil conditions for the cultivation of indigenous honeybush using regenerative agriculture principles. What is expected from the student (type of research) The research will be based on soil sampling and analysis. |
