Description | In the Eastern part of Uganda we are currently implementing the “Manafwa Watershed Restoration and Stewardship” project, which has just started with the first PIP-workshops in 6 selected villages. As there are also 3 PhD students involved who start their fieldwork in July, doing research both on social and physical aspects related to Sustainable Land Management, there are ample opportunities for students who would like to do exciting fieldwork in a beautiful region and within a great project team!
Specific topics are thus still open, but there are opportunities for more social research (surveys), GIS/RS work and more physical (erosion, landslide) research with data collection on farmers’ fields. What we request are enthusiastic students who like to do fieldwork and have a keen knowledge and analytical/writing skills related to SLM.
