| Description | Lanthanum (La) modified bentonite has been used in lakes to manage eutrophication. The lanthanum in contact with phosphate will form the mineral rhabdophane. Modelling reveals that rhabdophane is stable over a wide range of pH, however this has not been tested experimentally. |
