Description Recent studies have indicated that insect numbers have declined drastically over the last 50 years or so. This probably also has negative effects on birds. However, we know very little about insects in urban landscapes and how this relates to bird numbers and bird diversity. In this project you will study bird and insect diversity/abundance across different rural-urban gradients in the Netherlands. This project can only be done in spring and summer. Methods: bird surveys using line transects and insect surveys using insect traps.
