Description | The emergence of e-foods poses new challenges to EU and national policy-makers and executive agencies: how should the safety of food be regulated and guaranteed? How to protect the rights of consumers? What are the implications for labour conditions? Should we reconsider modes of transport? Can e-foods contribute to ambitions to move towards more sustainable and healthier consumption patterns?
The goal of this project is to explore some of these policy challenges and/or assess how policymakers (and other governance actors) have dealt with them in recent years (or how they could be dealt with). The student has the freedom to choose which e-foods and specific challenges he/she’d like to focus on. |
