Description BSc thesis, MSc thesis or internship – also groups of multiple students possible.

We will test stem and wood properties of different poplar clones to evaluate their suitability for chemical wood modification. Yet, chemical wood modification is mainly done based on radiata pine from New Zealand – we are seeking for local species as alternative. Several attempts with other species have been made but we will systematically test various poplar clones planted in trials of the Center for genetic Resources as well as forests managed by the Stae Forest Service (SBB).
