| Description | Resilience is the capacity of a system to cope with perturbation and still develop. Theoretical work on resilience has been done (see e.g. http://www.resalliance.org/) , and a lot of knowledge has been obtained through modelling. However, how can such a concept be defined, applied and measured in real aquatic ecosystems? Literature study in combination with critical thinking and/or data analysis, experiments, or observations might shed some light on this. |
