Description | The aim of this project is to establish whether traps that lure and drown wasps with alcohol and sweet beverages work selectively and proportionally. Do fewer “lemonade wasps”- the common wasp Vespula vulgaris and the German wasp V. germanica - fly around where these traps are used, compared to locations where the animals are lured away with a bowl of jam or where no action is being taken? What other insects are caught in these traps and what is their proportion in the total catch?
