| Description | Under The Wave, is a Zanzibar-based non-governmental organization committed to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
The selected intern will play a pivotal role in our initiative to monitor microplastics on the beaches of Matemwe. The main objective will be to establish a comprehensive protocol for the microplastic survey. This includes designing efficient sampling strategies, conducting fieldwork for sample collection, performing analyses to identify and quantify microplastics, and interpreting data. You will work on: - Establishing a comprehensive protocol for the microplastic survey - Conducting fieldwork to collect sediment samples. - Performing analyses to identify and quantify microplastics. - Compiling and analyzing data, preparing comprehensive reports. |
