Description | Windfarms can be suitable locations for flat oyster restoration in the North Sea because bottom trawling is not allowed. In addition, scour protection around pylons provides hard substrate onto which flat oyster larvae can settle. What is the best substrate for settlement of oyster larvae? Attraction experiments in which larval behaviour is tracked with a camera set up (vertical vision) will be carried out with different types of scour protection materials (granite, limestone, etc.).
