Description | Shrub expansion is widely observed in the Arctic and is related to climate warming. But beside temperature, rainfall patterns will change and likely critically govern the degree to which shrubs can capitalize on warmer conditions (i.e. moisture vs. temperature limitation).
You're invited to join our ongoing work on tree ring width and wood vessel responses to natural climate variability, or climate manipulation treatments, using samples from Svalbard or Siberia. You will gain lab and statistics experience. |
Used skills | Dendrochronology, experimental design, climate data processing, climate-growth relations, lab work |
